When Jack says this to Sawyer about Kate in “The Incident”, man it gets me right in my gut every time. The regret and resignation in that statement. Knowing he screwed up and there was no going back. Think we’ve all felt that way over the loss of a relationship that we ruined.
You said I was the best thing that ever happened to you. You said that you’ll never leave me. You said that I saved you. You said life is beautiful with me by your side. Then you said that you don’t love me anymore. And then, you broke your promise. You left.
